The claimant – men from Ghana – submitted to have left an LGBT association after his conversion to Catholicism and to fear persecution from the LGBT people he was in touch in Ghana. However, neither the Territorial Commission, nor the first-instance judge deemed his account credible.
Nonetheless, humanitarian protection granted in the belief that, if returned in Ghana, the claimant could be exposed to ill-treatment in because of the previous membership to a LGBT association.
