In a case related to a man from Nigeria, the Supreme Court recalled: 1) the need to take into account sexual orientation as an element for the identification of a particular social group when a claimant fears persecution on that ground; 2) a claimant can be deemed still credible even if he has not confessed the real reason for fearing persecution at the first available occasion before national authorities.
